Work Term Equity

Work is Work

Regardless what it’s called – work terms, co-ops, preceptorships, clinical or rural placement – any student that is providing the labour of an employee in the workplace should be financially compensated for their work. Students have identified unpaid work as an issue within our current system of post-secondary education. While there is a benefit in gaining the experience needed to transition into the workplace, forcing students to perform unpaid labour results in them turning to credit and loans to pay their bills. MUNSU needs your help with this campaign, please keep an eye out for opportunities to get involved throughout the year.
